I just received a letter this past weekend from Olivet Nazarene University, where I earned my Master's degree, that they have finally gotten approval to begin their first doctoral program. The three-year Ed.D. degree would be in Ethical Leadership and would begin next summer. My initial reaction when reading the letter was extreme excitement!!! I have dreamed of obtaining a doctoral degree for several years. More specifically, I wanted the degree by the age of 30. If I start this program next summer, I will graduate the month after turning 30.
I am filled with many different thoughts and emotions. I know this program will be an enormous amount of work (and money). But I can't help and wonder, Is this God (finally) opening up the door to my dream? For now, I know I need to spend time in prayer and seeking God's will on this matter. If any of you are willing to pray with me about this, I would greatly appreciate it.
