Each morning when my kids arrive to the classroom, their writing journals are on their desks, and they have a question/prompt on the board to respond to. Yesterday morning's question was, "What does love mean to you?" The Bible defines love in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, and Webster defines love in many different ways, one being "strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties." Here are some of the responses below that my 5th graders wrote:
"To me, love means..."
Caring for others; Obeying and respecting others; Higher than like; Never breaking someone's heart; Kindness; Appreciating someone; Dying for that person; and Being compassionate and concerned for others!
Maybe we can learn something from children...they do know more than we think!!! Have a great day everyone, and be sure to show some love!
