On Thursday of this week, I will be receiving my first of three formal evaluations by my Principal at school. I decided to have some fun and incorporate M&M's into my lesson. So I went to Sam's Club today and bought a hugomptious box of M&M's for my kids so that they could each have their own bag to work with. The objectives of the lesson are to classify, compute basic math problems, and graph the M&M colors on a bar graph. I think the kids are going to have a lot of fun with this. If I were a 5th grader, I'd love to have a lesson that allowed me to eat an entire bag of M&M's when I finished! I hope my lesson goes well and that the Principal has many good things to say afterwards. If anyone wants to join Ms. Walls's math class on Thursday morning, feel free. haha
