Please keep my family, particularly my Dad, in your prayers. We just found out that the first of his twelve siblings passed away earlier today from cancer. My Dad's father passed away almost exactly four years ago, so the timing of everything falls around the holidays yet again. My parents will be coming up from Tennessee later on this week for the wake and funeral. We know that she is now with her Lord in heaven...free from all pain, cancer, and internal bleeding...and with her husband that went before her 2 1/2 years ago!
To end on a positive note, I keep forgetting to Blog about my praise report. The government has this offer for all teachers who teach in a Title 1 (low-income) school for five consecutive years...they are eligible for up to $5000 in undergraduate or graduate loan reimbursement. I applied for this back in the summer for my graduate loan and put the outcome in God's hands. I would have been happy with any amount, but of course I was praying for the full $5000 to be granted to me. Well, I just found out last week that I received the FULL $5000!!! I am still in awe of God's great grace. He never fails me...He always takes care of me. This is just another testimony of God's faithfulness when we pay our tithes and give back to Him what is already His. For anyone who still thinks they can't afford to tithe...I challenge you with, "How can you afford NOT to tithe?" Praise God!!
